Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a structured, evidence-based intervention using bilateral stimulation to help the brain resume its natural healing process safely, effectively, and efficiently. EMDR helps you build tools to regulate your nervous system, emotions, and mood, and activates your body’s built-in ability to digest difficult experiences.

Grief and loss:
No matter the loss, it can be a great comfort to have a companion to move through it with. Grief therapy can help you make space for painful emotions, gradually adjust, and reconnect with life in meaningful ways.
Life transitions:
When life changes on the outside, and you’re trying to find your footing inside, therapy can help you move through the transition with greater clarity, self-trust, and emotional steadiness. Whether you’re adjusting to a new role, experiencing relationship or family changes, or finding yourself questioning who you are and what comes next, therapy offers a space to explore what this new season means for you.

I get it, parenting is hard. Deep love can coexist with overwhelm, self-doubt, and big emotions. Together, we can seek to understand what is shaping your parenting and ways to build a deeper connection with your child so that you can feel more confident and supported in the role.
-
Traditional therapy doesn’t work for everyone. Some people think more clearly while moving, or appreciate the calming effects of nature while talking about hard things. I meet on quiet trails, alongside a creek, or in redwood rings with clients in Santa Cruz parks. Outside, our relationship with nature can be directly woven into the healing process.

A psychological immigration evaluation is an in-depth conversation with a mental health professional followed by a written report that can be included in immigration or waiver petitions. The interview often focuses on a client's history in their native country, reason for immigrating, and mental/emotional health. Evaluations have the potential to significantly strengthen immigration cases.
“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” - Maya Angelou

Welcome! Thank you for being here.
I’m Chelsea, a licensed therapist who cares about promoting peace in our world, starting within ourselves. For 11 years, I’ve worked with people in many settings to resolve the impacts of painful events and create a life they want to live. My practice now focuses on adults recovering from trauma, grief, and life transitions.
With me, you can be open and honest about what you’re going through. I offer a truly holistic approach that brings creativity, our relationship with nature, and the body’s restorative powers into healing.
In sessions, I seek to reflect the wholeness that exists within you now, even with the brokenness you may be experiencing.
